Comments here are name + text, no account. What should they grow into?

looking for: feature wishes, spam war stories

The comments on this board are deliberately simple: type your name, say your piece, done. No accounts, no passwords.

The question is what to add next — without ruining the simplicity:

Sign in with Google so regulars keep a consistent identity?
Replies, so comments can have little threads?
Reactions (a single 👍, or something weirder)?
Better spam defenses, if the bots ever find this place?

Is anonymous-but-friendly the feature, or a limitation?
